Join 98.1 K-Bull, Wild 102.9, 95.5 The Vibe, and News Talk 780 KOH in supporting the Food Bank of Northern Nevada this Thanksgiving. The stations will be collecting your food donations in front of Walmart. Donating to this food drive is simple – stay in your vehicle, and our volunteers will unload your donated items for you. Plus, every donation includes a chance to win some great prizes from local businesses.
Requested items to be donated for this drive include:
Perishable
- Frozen turkeys (MUST be frozen)
Non Perishable
- Dressing/Stuffing
- Canned Vegetables
- Canned Fruits
- Canned Yams
- Gravy Mixes
- Corn Bread Mixes
- Bisquick
- Instant Mashed Potatoes
- Cream soups
- Fried onions
- Rice – White brown or wild
- Canned Cranberry Sauce

The 32nd annual 2 News Nevada Share Your Christmas Drive-By Food Drive is just around the corner! Join us for another great year and help us to brighten the holiday season for thousands in our community. This is the easiest food drive of all to participate in because we won’t even ask you to get out of your car. Drive up, pop the trunk or let us know where the food is, and our helpful volunteers will unload it for you! Drop off your non-perishable, non-expired food donations at any of the four collection locations.
All donations will remain in the local community where they are collected. Food Bank partner food pantries that will benefit from the food drive include:
- Living Faith Church, St. Roberts, and Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe pantries in Fernley
- Advocates to End Domestic Violence, F.I.S.H, and Ron Wood Family Resource Center in Carson City
- Carson Valley Food Closet in Minden/Gardnerville
- Donations collected in Reno will go directly to the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, where they will be made available to the entire network of 155 partner agencies
MOST NEEDED ITEMS:
- Canned Meals: Stews, Soups, Spaghetti/Ravioli (Low-Sodium Preferred) Protein: Peanut Butter, Tuna, Salmon, Chicken, Dried or Canned Beans
- Grains: Whole Grain Cereal, Oatmeal, Brown Rice, Whole Grain Pasta
- Fruits: Canned (Packed in 100% Juice or Light Syrup), Dried Fruit, Applesauce (No Sugar Added), 100% Fruit Juice Boxes
- Vegetables: Canned (No Salt Added and/or Low-Sodium Preferred)
- Dairy: Shelf Stable Milk Kid-friendly
- Snacks: Granola Bars, Popcorn, Animal Crackers, Graham Crackers
- Baby Products: Formula, Infant Cereal, Baby Food

The 22nd annual CANstruction Reno Design & Build Competition will be held April 30 – May 4, 2025 at Meadowood Mall.
CANstruction Reno is an annual competition hosted by AIANN that turns canned foods into art, then feeds thousands in our community.

- Join the Competition: Register as a team to build your own artful masterpiece and help us raise food and awareness for the Food Bank. Get started by submitting the 2025 Canstruction Call for Entries Form or contact Fred Graham, CANstruction Committee Chair, with questions.
